New Humboldt-Fellow at the Institute

New Humboldt Fellow at the DAM Institute

Dr. Tefera Tadesse Jimma received the Georg Forster Research Fellowship (Georg Forster-Forschungsstipendium) from the Humboldt Foundation (Humboldt-Stiftung) in June 2021.

The scholarship, which includes a 6-24 month research stay in Germany, is awarded to postdocs and experienced scientists in developing and emerging countries (according to OECD). We congratulate Dr. Jimma and wish him every success for the duration of the scholarship.

About Dr. Jimma:

Dr. Tefera Tadesse Jimma (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the Institute of Educational Research (IER), Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.  

He received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Queensland, Australia, and was a recent postdoctoral research fellow at Michigan State University, USA.  

With the Alexander Humboldt senior research fellowship, Dr. Jimma investigates Covid-19 and the resulted crises in postgraduate education in Ethiopia.
